A pedestrian was killed Monday night when hit by a vehicle in southwest Denver.
The fatal collision happened at the intersection of South Sheridan Boulevard and West Hampden Avenue, according to police.

The eastbound lanes of Hampden have been closed from Wadsworth Boulevard to Sheridan. Drivers should avoid the area if possible.
