A man wanted as a suspect in a fatal shooting in Denver was arrested Wednesday.
Elijah Lucero, 19, was taken into custody in the 1700 block of West Jewell Avenue, said Doug Schepman, a police spokesman.

Lucero is being held on suspicion of first-degree murder in the death of 20-year-old Briseidy Jimenez-Ortega.
The victim was shot about 8 p.m. Sept. 7 in the 3900 block of Bryant Street. She was pronounced dead at Denver Health medical center.
