The Denver Film Society on Thursday announced the full schedule for its , taking place Oct. 31-Nov. 11 at the Sie FilmCenter, Ellie Caulkins Opera House and McNichols Civic Center building.

This year’s installment will screen more than 130 feature-length films and dozens more shorts and other works, according to the Film Society, including a red carpet presentation of director Alfonso Cuarón’s newest film, “Roma.” The black-and-white drama follows a family in 1970s Mexico, and is loosely inspired by Cuarón’s own upbringing.

That film will screen at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10, at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House, where the other red carpet presentations are also scheduled.

” ‘Roma’ is a modern masterpiece,” said Britta Erickson, festival director, in a press statement. “We are honored to present this film — in a special 4k presentation — in the full festival lineup for DFF41, along with over 200 of the most compelling and powerful works of cinema from 2018.

“From the latest in American independent film, to riveting documentaries, to incredible selections from across the vast globe, DFF41 is an opportunity for everyone to find something that truly speaks to who they are as a film-loving audience.”

Individual tickets for the Denver Film Festival went on sale for members on Oct. 10 and will be available to the general public starting at noon on Friday, Oct. 12. Visit for the full lineup, screening times and other details.
