Westbound lanes of Interstate 70 reopened in north Denver on Sunday morning after more than 14 vehicles were involved in a crash that closed the highway for more than two hours.
All westbound lanes closed just before 6:30 a.m. Sunday at Colorado Boulevard and reopened about 9 a.m., according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
Between 14 and 20 vehicles had been involved in crashes in that area, the Denver Police Department wrote on Twitter. Nobody had been seriously injured in the crashes during icy conditions.
TRAFFIC: WB I70 just after Vasquez closed due to icy road conditions. 14-20 vehicles involved in crashes. No SBI. Alternate routes strongly advised.
