You probably already know how much money you can save by shopping the new-home market east of I-25 in north Thornton, compared to areas in Broomfield, Erie and others closer to Boulder County.
But you’re likely to have no idea how much more you can save by putting off your holiday shopping for a few hours and by pressing that search Sunday, Nov. 18.
At Lewis Pointe, a new community that has a near-ideal commuter location off 144th Avenue between Colorado and Holly Street, you can tour two Meritage Homes models Sunday, Nov. 18 — one a roomy ranch design with a full-wide three-car garage.
Each one shows energy-conservation technology way beyond what typical resale homes offer — and well beyond other new production homes, as well.
If you like what you see, Meritage has similar designs that are ready for move-in before Christmas, at savings way beyond expectations — more than $70,000 off a previous price on one large ranch thatap ready now.
Itap a Granby design: three bedrooms, over 2,200 square feet on the main level, plus additional finished basement space and a full-wide three-car garage. It was priced at $647,066 earlier in the season, but Meritage’s Lee Thompson will show you it Sunday at $574,990.
“Prices in this community are already much lower than west of I-25, around $120,000 less than in communities like Coal Creek, close to Boulder,” says Thompson.
He notes that Lewis Pointe is served by Adams 12 Five-Star Schools, including well-respected Horizon High, with a college readiness score of 9-out-of-10 at GreatSchools.org.
Prices like those look particularly appealing as Meritage comes into its final homesites at Lewis Pointe — just 16 home-and-site packages left from 109 that the builder opened last year.
Thompson says sales have been brisk for the popularity of the schools and energy features, but also for Lewis Pointe’s commuter access — within 2 miles of E-470 with an exceptionally quick commute west into Broomfield and Boulder County or east to DIA; and very close to all of the new employment along I-25 near the new Amazon Fulfillment Center.
You’ll see displays in the models that show how much more Meritage puts into its energy performance, including sprayed foam insulation that delivers better comfort both winter and summer, along with increased quiet.
At a moment when builders are seeing more than their share of out-of-state buyers, Meritage actually gets sales at Lewis Pointe from buyers who have purchased sight-unseen, already knowing about Meritage’s quality from California or other areas where it builds.
To visit Lewis Pointe, from I-25, take 144th Avenue east 3 miles (past Colorado) to Fairfax and turn south; or from E-470, exit at Colorado and head south 144th and turn east.
