The southbound lanes of Interstate 25 are open through Colorado Springs after being closed for more than two hours Sunday while authorities responded to a roll-over crash that seriously injured at least one person.
The crash happened shortly after 5:30 p.m. Sunday near the exit for Uintah Street, according to , the south Front Range city’s Twitter account that provides updates on traffic conditions.
The account called the accident a “serious injury rollover crash.” For nearly two hours, all three southbound lanes of the interstate were shut down and traffic was being routed off the highway onto Uintah.
As of 8:37 p.m., the leftmost southbound lane had been reopened. The two remaining lanes were opened shortly after that.
The Colorado Springs Police Department handled the response. Further information — including how many vehicles were involved and how many people were injured — was not immediately available.
