Frederick was selected as the state’s best place to live in by a USA Today ranking published Friday.
The list identified each U.S. state’s top-ranked place to live through creating a weighted index considering dozens of factors. The publication considered all boroughs, census designated places, cities towns and villages with at least 8,000 residents.
The article said the town’s amenities such as the Miner’s Memorial Museum, its golf course, more than 20 community parks and its proximity to 25 skiing areas within driving distance make it an attractive place to live.
