Two serious crashes led to the closure of westbound Interstate 70 in eastern Colorado on Wednesday morning and left a 48-year-old man dead and sent another person to the hospital with unknown injuries, a Colorado State Patrol spokesman said.
All lanes of I-70 were reopened around 12 p.m., Colorado Department of Transportation tweeted.

The crash that resulted in a death occurred at 7:24 a.m. on the westbound side of I-70 near mile marker 342. A second crash occurred at 9:49 a.m. at mile marker 352 and caused a semitrailer to jacknife that blocked all traffic on the westbound side of I-70 in the morning, said Gary Cutler, a spokesman for the CSP.
