The dogs who work hard every day at Colorado resorts to help keep skiers and snowboarders happy and safe have at least one thing in common: They’re adorable.

Get to know these eight pups with their short bios. They’d love to meet you and tell you more about themselves.

Mason

Ski area: Copper Mountain

Gender: Male

Age: 4

Breed: Golden Retriever

Job: Avalanche Search and Rescue

Favorite food or treat: Any kind of food other than leafy greens, the only thing he will spit out

Favorite activity: Sprinting down the mountain after work

Fun fact: Enjoys rolling pebbles around in his mouth

Parker the Snow Dog

Ski area:DZԻ

Gender: Male

Age: 6

Breed: Bernese Mountain Dog

Job: Ski area mascot and ambassador of snow

Favorite food or treat: Earthborn Holistics Venture Squid & Chickpeas

Favorite activity: Volunteering as a therapy dog for the Rocky Mountain Village Easterseals camp

Fun fact: Has a beer named for him (Bernese Mountain Brown Ale) at the Guanella Pass Brewery in Georgetown

Scout

Ski area: Keystone

Gender: Female

Age: 3

Breed: Australian Shepherd

Job: Avalanche Search and Rescue

Favorite food or treat: Taste of the Wild

Favorite activity: Playing fetch with her Frisbee

Fun fact: Has flown in three helicopter training exercises and was recently deployed in an avalanche rescue search away from the Keystone resort. In that operation, it turned out no one was caught in the slide.

Meka

Ski area: Aspen Highlands

Gender: Female

Age: 2

Breed: Black Lab

Job: Avalanche Search and Rescue

Favorite food or treat: Loves vegetables

Favorite activity: Playing the game “Search” and fetching a ball

Fun fact: Loves to sing, especially “Ooh La La” by Faces, a 1973 song by a band that featured Rod Stewart

Charlotte

Ski area: Winter Park

Gender: Female

Age: 6

Breed: Border Collie

Job: Avalanche Search and Rescue

Favorite food or treat: Green beans and kibble

Favorite activity: Frisbee

Fun fact: Roars like Chewbacca every morning when she gets to the ski patrol locker room, telling the crew she’s there and ready to work.

Guinness

Ski area: Crested Butte

Gender: Male

Age: 4

Breed: Chocolate Labrador Retriever

Job: Avalanche Search and Rescue

Favorite food or treat: Earthborn Holistic Primitive Natural

Favorite activity: Training for search and rescue. Training is basically a game of hide and seek for Guinness with a big reward (playing tug of war) when he finds people

Fun fact: When Guinness is not training, he loves getting attention from guests.  He is a family pet once he gets home.

Willy

Ski area: Beaver Creek

Gender: Male

Age: 10 months

Breed: Golden Retriever

Job: Sharing safety tips with guests

Favorite food or treat: All Natural Peanut Butter and Pumpkin biscuits

Favorite activity: Any kind of fetch

Fun fact: Has never met a person or dog he doesn’t like

Powder the Safety Dog

Ski area: Steamboat

Gender: Female

Age: 2

Breed: St. Bernard

Job: Ambassador for safety

Favorite food or treat: She likes dog treats but prefers to receive them from her handler rather than guests

Favorite activity: Romping through Steamboat’s famous champagne powder and making friend with guests

Fun fact: Powder has a stuff animal counterpart that guests can take home with them
