The report, released Wednesday, compared the 100 biggest cities in the country. Aurora came in at No. 41 and Colorado Springs at No. 43. Overall, Seattle ranked No. 1, followed by Irvine, Calif., and Los Angeles.
WalletHub measured 23 different metrics, from internet speed to most arcades per capita to the average prize money awarded at esport tournaments. These metrics were separated into three groups: gaming environment, internet quality and coverage, and gamer and developer opportunities. Denver ranked 21st, 15th and 20th, respectively.
Denver topped the list when it came to video-game job openings per capita and ranked eighth for the number of esport tournaments held.
