Police shot and killed a homicide suspect Friday in a Pueblo mobile home park.
Police had been searching for the suspect since Tuesday morning when he allegedly killed a 23-year-old man, police said in a news release.
On Friday, officers pursued the suspect to a mobile home park in the 1900 block of Constitution Road. The man was able to get into someone’s home where he barricaded himself, police said.
After 45 minutes, police fired and the suspect was killed, the release stated. No officers were injured in the incident.
The Tenth Judicial District Critical Incident Team is investigating the officer-involved shooting, and six officers have been placed on administrative leave, per department protocol.
This is the 33rd police shooting in Colorado this year, and the fourth in Pueblo.
An officer-involved shooting has taken place at a home in an east side mobile home park. One male homicide suspect is deceased. Additional details to be released later in a press release.
