Four in custody after fatal shooting of teen in Englewood

One man and three juveniles are in custody in connection with the fatal shooting of a 13-year-old boy in Englewood.

Jesus Perez-Medrano, 19, and three 17-year-old males were arrested for investigation into the killing and charges are pending, according to a news release from the Englewood Police Department.

Englewood police on July 14 responded to the 3600 block of South Acoma Street after reports of a shooting. Two males had been shot, including the dead 13-year-old. A second victim, 18, had been shot in the neck and was transported to a hospital in critical condition. The names of the victims were not released by police.

While the investigation is ongoing, police say there are no additional suspects.
