Clap clap, clap clap clap, clap clap clap clap, “Retired”

Former Rockies all-star shortstop Troy Tulowitzki has announced his retirement after a 13-year playing career.

Tulo in his prime was one of the game’s best, and many would agree had Hall-of-Fame talent when healthy.

His time with the Rockies may have ended poorly when he was traded away to the Toronto Blue Jays during a road series against the Chicago Cubs.

Injuries cost him most of the past two seasons as he dealt with leg issues. He always admired Yankees great Derek Jeter, and like Jeets he will retire a Yankee.

Up next for Tulowitzki is a stop in the Lone Star state as he will join the coaching staff of the Texas Longhorns.

When looking back on Tulo’s time in LoDo, he was a fan favorite and one of the best players to put on a Rockies uniform.
