
Carl Cox, Sr., G/ILB, Palisade — The all-state pick racked up 107 total tackles, including two sacks, on defense. He also opened up holes for an offense that averaged 314 rush yards per game.
Gage Clawson, Sr., G/MLB, Discovery Canyon — An all-state selection, the Colorado School of Mines recruit posted 58 tackles, including five sacks, as a junior on defense while helping pave the way for 3,500 rush yards last season.
Anthony Roberson II, Sr., CB/WR, Palmer Ridge — The all-state receiver posted 937 yards receiving in 2018, which was actually down from his 1,485 yards receiving as a sophomore. He also tallied 17 touchdowns in 14 games for the state champion Bears.
Cameron Tucker, Sr., QB/FS, Palisade — The 6-foot, 200-pound dual threat QB ran for 1,180 yards and passed for 804 as a junior and first-team all-state pick in 2018.
Cody Bruce, Sr., G/DL, Palmer Ridge — Offensive line play was key to Palmer Ridge’s second-straight state title and the 6-foot-3, 280-pound guard helped shield an offense which averaged 370 yards per game last season.
Quinn Meinert, Sr., RB/LB, Green Mountain –The multi-sport star was an ironman for the Rams last season, running for 1,103 yards and tallying 61 tackles (23 solo), including eight tackles for loss.
Nick Norris, Sr., OT/DT, Fort Morgan – The 6-foot-4, 220-pound tackle has an offer from New Mexico State on the table, as well as local colleges CSU Pueblo and Colorado School of Mines, among others.
Keshaun Taylor, Sr., WR/DB, Thomas Jefferson – The Spartans’ two-way star racked up 1,031 all-purpose yards and six touchdowns a year ago, and wreaked havoc on defense with six interceptions and two fumble recoveries.
Trey Towndrow, Sr., QB/RB, Green Mountain – All-state in two sports as a junior — football and lacrosse — the dual threat QB piled up 1,456 yards passing and 1,001 yards rushing with 21 touchdowns last season.
Dorian Pacheco, So., RB/MLB, Lutheran – An honorable mention all-state pick as a freshman, the 5-7, 175-pound linebacker had 90 tackles, including 10.5 tackles for loss, in his first varsity season.
Jaydon Green, Sr., QB, George Washington – With 1,722 yards passing in 2018, Green is the top returning 3A passer going into 2019. Green is also a participant in the Jenkins Elite training and performance programs for quarterbacks.
Jake Martin, Sr., WR/SS, Lewis-Palmer – The 6-foot-2, 190-pound South Dakota commit hauled in 429 yards receiving and seven touchdowns last season, but his biggest impact was on the defensive end with four interceptions, a fumble recovery and blocked punt.
Kai Arneson, Sr., LT/DT, Lewis-Palmer – A three-year starter, the 6-foot-8, 300-pounder is an imposing physical presence in the trenches on both sides of the ball.
Gavin Mendoza, Sr., QB, Erie – Mendoza passed for 10 touchdowns and ran for another three in a run-heavy offense for Erie last season, leading the Tigers to a 3A state football playoff semifinals run.
Josh Bradford, Sr., TE/OLB, Erie – Bradford’s 6-foot-1, 195-pound frame gives the Tigers a big, athletic target to work with. “We’re going to do a lot of different things with him offensively this season,” Erie head coach Chad Cooper said.
David Grassi, Sr., DT/G, Erie – Grassi was a key cog for an offensive line the cleared the way for a run-heavy attack that averaged 242 yards rushing per game last season.
Cord Kringlen, Jr., OL, Holy Family – Another of Colorado’s top offensive line prospects at 6-foot-5 and 285-pounds, Kringlen has participated in camps at Oklahoma and Oklahoma State and had recruiting visits with Colorado, Colorado State and CSU Pueblo.
Jack Bertagnolli, Sr., FS/SS, Holy Family – One of the Tigers’ vocal leaders, according to coach Michael Gabriel, Bertagnolli deflected 18 passes last season to go along with 34 tackles (two for a loss) in 11 games.
Brady Veltien, Sr., QB, Mead – The Mead senior was the facilitator of the Mavericks’ offense in 2018 with 537 yards passing and 118 yards rushing in a run heavy attack.
Kaden Dudley, Jr., WR/DB, Palmer Ridge — A breakout sophomore season on both sides of the ball (30 receptions, 341 yards, six TDs; 34 tackles, nine interceptions) caught the eye of CU and CSU. More will surely be watching in 2019.
