Vic Fangio almost had an amazing, memorable home debut with the Broncos. Almost.

Coming back from a 13-3 deficit, Denver took the lead with less than a minute to go after Joe Flacco connected with Emmanuel Sanders — first for a touchdown and then for a two-point conversion to take the lead. But then a 53-yard field goal by Chicago’s Eddy Pineiro crushed the Mile High crowd’s euphoria.
