Weldon Valley couldn’t quite keep up with a potent Fleming squad, losing by a score of 50-12 on Friday, Sept. 20.
Fleming’s rushing game was paced by Maddix Welch who accrued 60 yards and one touchdown in the contest, averaging 6.7 yards per carry. Brandon Williams added 50 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, averaging 12.5 yards per carry.
Weldon Valley quarterback Wesley Fintleman led the passing attack with 30 yards through the air. Coy Groves lead all Weldon Valley receivers with two receptions for 35 yards and one score.
Junior Flores lead the Weldon Valley rushing attack by racking up 143 yards and one touchdown in the contest, averaging 7.9 yards per carry.
Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Fleming hosting Prairie and Weldon Valley taking on Briggsdale.
