Mead earned a win when they beat Roosevelt 34-21 on Friday, Sept. 20.
Brady Veltien led Mead’s passing attack with 91 yards through the air, tossing two touchdowns and one interception. Trey Ward lead all Mead receivers with four catches for 94 yards and one score.
Jake Wachter paced the Mead ground game by running for 139 yards and three touchdowns in the contest, averaging 8.7 yards per carry. Nathan Bailey added 67 yards on the ground.
Roosevelt quarterback Braeden Saya led the passing attack with 130 yards through the air. Saya also added 47 yards and one touchdown on the ground. Tucker Peterson lead all Roosevelt receivers with two catches for 59 yards and one score.
Roosevelt’s ground attack was spearheaded by JT Baughman who ran for 103 yards in the contest, averaging 5.7 yards per carry.
Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Mead heading to play Erie and Roosevelt taking on Holy Family.
