Discovery Canyon earned a win when they beat Pueblo East 34-20 on Thursday, Sept. 26.
Jonah Isakson powered Discovery Canyon’s passing attack with 114 yards through the air, tossing one touchdown and one interception. Isakson also added 33 yards and one touchdown on the ground. Discovery Canyon’s leading receiver was Ethan Hall, who caught four passes for 114 yards and one score.
Marshall Pike paced the Discovery Canyon ground attack by running for 233 yards and three touchdowns in the contest, averaging 10.1 yards per carry.
Jack Helzer led Pueblo East’s passing attack with 245 yards through the air. Kaeden Bowman lead all Pueblo East receivers with five receptions for 128 yards and two scores. Marvin London Jr contributed in the passing game as well, snagging 11 balls for 91 yards.
Pueblo East’s rushing attack was lead by Noah Rivera who ran for 40 yards and one touchdown in the contest, averaging 10 yards per carry.
Pueblo East will play host to Pueblo South, while Discovery Canyon will travel to play Littleton.
