Cheyenne Mountain couldn’t quite keep up with a strong Air Academy squad, losing by a score of 44-6 on Friday.
Air Academy’s rushing game was lead by Sam Beers who racked up 195 yards and five touchdowns in the game, averaging 7.5 yards per carry. Ethan Martin added 99 yards on the ground, averaging 16.5 yards per carry.
Caden Bellew led Cheyenne Mountain’s passing attack with 96 yards through the air. Bellew also added one rushing touchdown. Bellew’s most relied on target in the contest was Jackson Blaylock, who caught two passes for 39 yards.
Nico Gagliardi lead the Cheyenne Mountain rushing attack by racking up 45 yards in the game, averaging 5 yards per carry.
Cheyenne Mountain will play host to Widefield, while Air Academy will travel to play Palmer.
