Fort Collins earned a win when they beat Poudre 35-31 on Friday.
Hayden Iverson led Fort Collins’ passing attack with 223 yards through the air, throwing one touchdown and three interceptions. Iverson also added 84 yards and four touchdowns on the ground. Dorion McGarity lead all Fort Collins receivers with 10 catches for 122 yards. Josh Leone got in on the action in the passing game as well, snagging three passes for 90 yards and one touchdown.
Fort Collins’ rushing game was lead by Aaron Van Metre and his 23 yards .
Sergio Tarango led Poudre’s passing attack with 110 yards through the air, tossing two touchdowns and one interception. Tarango also added 41 yards on the ground. Tarango’s favorite target in the ballgame was Triston Burkett, who caught five passes for 89 yards and one score.
Tate Satterfield spearheaded the Poudre rushing attack by running for 115 yards and two touchdowns in the contest, averaging 5.5 yards per carry.
Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Fort Collins hosting Broomfield and Poudre taking on Rocky Mountain.
