Zuni narrowly lost to Montezuma-Cortez in a 28-26 contest on Friday.
Ty Blackmer led Montezuma-Cortez’s aerial attack with 159 yards through the air, throwing one touchdown and five interceptions. Blackmer’s most prolific receiver in the contest was Vallentino Rodriguez, who caught two passes for 58 yards.
Montezuma-Cortez’s rushing game was lead by Jacob Schuster who ran for 179 yards and three touchdowns in the contest, averaging 12.8 yards per carry.
