Idalia couldn’t quite keep up with a potent Flagler/Hi-Plains squad, losing by a score of 66-26 on Saturday, Sept. 28 at @Flagler, Flagler’s Homecoming.

Zayd Banks led Flagler/Hi-Plains’ passing attack with 239 yards through the air, tossing five touchdowns without an interception. Banks also added 47 yards on the ground. Chris Hile was also Flagler/Hi-Plains’ leading receiver on the day. Nick Schroeder contributed in the passing game as well, reeling in two balls for 75 yards and two touchdowns.

Flagler/Hi-Plains’ ground game was spearheaded by Cody Banks who accrued 92 yards and two touchdowns in the game, averaging 30.7 yards per carry. Cody Banks also tacked on 41 receiving yards and one touchdown. Hile added 71 yards and one touchdown on the ground, averaging 11.8 yards per carry, as well as 93 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Flagler/Hi-Plains heading to play Arickaree/Woodlin and Idalia taking on Stratton/Liberty.
