Liberty couldn’t quite keep up with a potent Heritage squad, losing by a score of 55-20 on Friday, Sept. 27.
Heritage quarterback Conner Cummiskey led the passing attack with 172 yards through the air, tossing one touchdown and one interception. Cummiskey also added 87 yards and one touchdown on the ground. Logan Sweet lead all Heritage receivers with four receptions for 67 yards and one score.
In addition to Conner Cummiskey’s effort, Doug Moore lead the Heritage ground game by gaining 76 yards and one touchdown in the game, averaging 15.2 yards per carry. Terrance Ferguson added 72 yards and one touchdown, averaging 12 yards per carry, in addition to 57 receiving yards.
Daucin Dvorsky led Liberty’s aerial attack with 197 yards through the air. Dvorsky’s most prolific target in the ballgame was Malachi Salus, who caught nine passes for 117 yards and one score.
Elias Alexander paced all Liberty rushers with 43 yards and one touchdown in the game, averaging 5.4 yards per carry.
In their next games, Heritage will stay home and play Centaurus, while Liberty will travel to play Wheat Ridge.
