Manitou Springs won by just a single point over St. Mary’s on Friday, Sept. 27.
Ethan Boren lead all Manitou Springs rushers with 76 yards in the game, averaging 4.5 yards per carry.
Caleb Pepper led St. Mary’s passing attack with 52 yards through the air. Pepper’s most reliable receiver in the ballgame was Robbie Muehlbauer, who caught one pass for 17 yards.
Muehlbauer lead the St. Mary’s rushing attack by racking up 138 yards and two touchdowns in the game, averaging 6 yards per carry. Andrew Sorensen added 56 yards on the ground, averaging 9.3 yards per carry.
Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Manitou Springs hosting Elizabeth and St. Mary’s taking on Buena Vista.
