Pueblo West couldn’t quite keep up with a potent Pine Creek squad, losing by a score of 41-13 on Friday, Sept. 27 at at Cyclone Stadium – PWHS.

Gavin Herberg led Pine Creek’s passing attack with 201 yards through the air. Herberg also added 55 yards on the ground. Eddie Kyle lead all Pine Creek receivers with two catches for 49 yards and one score.

Pine Creek’s ground attack was lead by David “dm3” moore iii who tallied 202 yards and four touchdowns in the contest, averaging 18.4 yards per carry. Spencer Peterson added 103 yards on the ground, averaging 11.4 yards per carry, as well as 31 receiving yards.

Chandler Mason led Pueblo West’s aerial attack with 171 yards through the air, throwing one touchdown and one interception. Pueblo West’s leading receiver was Reece Bundy, who caught six passes for 62 yards. Alex Reid contributed in the passing game as well, reeling in five passes for 60 yards.

Jeremiah Sanchez spearheaded the Pueblo West ground game by running for 93 yards in the game, averaging 7.8 yards per carry.

Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Pine Creek heading to play Palmer Ridge and Pueblo West taking on Liberty.
