Smoky Hill earned a win when they beat Boulder 43-35 on Thursday at Recht Field, Boulder HS.

Leslie Richardson III powered Smoky Hill’s passing attack with 241 yards through the air, throwing two touchdowns and two interceptions. Smoky Hill’s leading receiver was Alec Pinkowski, who caught four passes for 79 yards and one score. Ryan Hollingsworth got in on the action in the passing game as well, catching four balls for 74 yards and one touchdown.

Obasanjo Sanni lead all Smoky Hill rushers with 125 yards and three touchdowns in the game, averaging 8.9 yards per carry.

Hale Chargois led Boulder’s aerial attack with 230 yards through the air, throwing four touchdowns and one interception. Boulder’s leading receiver was Wiley Bennett, who caught eight passes for 106 yards and two scores. Luke Werner contributed in the passing game as well, catching two balls for 66 yards and one touchdown.

Parker Patchett paced the Boulder rushing attack by accumulating 42 yards in the game, averaging 4.2 yards per carry.

Smoky Hill will stay home and play Denver East, while Boulder will travel to play Prairie View.
