Woodland Park won by just a single point over Battle Mountain on Friday, Sept. 27.

Colin Kucera powered Woodland Park’s passing attack with 171 yards through the air, throwing three touchdowns and three interceptions. Tyler Baldus lead all Woodland Park receivers with five receptions for 80 yards and one score. Bryson Cox got involved in the passing game as well, hauling in three balls for 65 yards and one touchdown.

Matias Lopez spearheaded the Woodland Park ground game by gaining 26 yards in the game.

Battle Mountain’s ground attack was spearheaded by Hezekiah Gongaware who accrued 132 yards and one touchdown in the contest, averaging 4.7 yards per carry.

Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Woodland Park heading to play La Junta and Battle Mountain taking on Summit.
