Dayspring Christian Academy easily handled Byers by a score of 54-15 on Saturday.
Christian Still led Dayspring Christian Academy’s passing attack with 181 yards through the air, tossing two touchdowns with no interceptions. Still also added 74 yards on the ground. Dayspring Christian Academy’s leading receiver was Ethan Pratt, who caught four passes for 56 yards and two scores. Dayspring Christian Academy also got 53 yards receiving from Jacob Martin in the contest.
Garrett Krehbiel spearheaded the Dayspring Christian Academy ground game by finishing with 106 yards and two touchdowns in the game, averaging 13.2 yards per carry. Krehbiel also tacked on 56 receiving yards and one touchdown. Caden Bonnell contributed 71 yards and one touchdown, averaging 11.8 yards per carry.
Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Dayspring Christian Academy heading to play Sedgwick County and Byers taking on Akron.
