Westminster earned a win when they beat Denver East 27-22 on Saturday.
Westminster quarterback Romeo Rodriguez led the passing attack with 149 yards through the air, tossing two touchdowns and one interception. Rodriguez also added one touchdown on the ground. Gilbert Bujanda lead all Westminster receivers with four receptions for 68 yards and two scores. Gage Ware contributed in the passing game as well, hauling in two balls for 61 yards.
Ezequiel Loera paced all Westminster rushers with 87 yards in the game, averaging 4.4 yards per carry.
Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Westminster heading to play Mountain Range and Denver East taking on Smoky Hill.
Denver East has not reported any team or player statistics from this contest.
