St. Mary’s couldn’t quite keep up with a strong Florence squad, losing by a score of 47-6 on Friday, Oct. 11 at Florence High School.

Owen Busetti lead all Florence rushers with 117 yards and two touchdowns in the contest, averaging 19.5 yards per carry. Jacob Kennedy added 114 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, averaging 19 yards per carry.

Caleb Pepper led St. Mary’s passing attack with 73 yards through the air, tossing one touchdown and one interception. Jacob Miller lead all St. Mary’s receivers with one reception for 63 yards and one score.

St. Mary’s rushing game was spearheaded by Robbie Muehlbauer who racked up 86 yards in the contest, averaging 4.5 yards per carry.

In their next games, St. Mary’s will play host to Center, while Florence will travel to play Buena Vista.
