Grand Junction couldn’t quite keep up with a potent Golden squad, losing by a score of 42-20 on Friday at HOMECOMING SCHOOL OF MINES STADIUM (MAROON OUT).

Joey Mancuso led Golden’s passing attack with 254 yards through the air, tossing three touchdowns without an interception. Kevin Mulligan lead all Golden receivers with six receptions for 135 yards and three scores. Josh Torrey got in on the action in the passing game as well, hauling in one ball for 71 yards.

Golden’s ground attack was lead by Matt Elliott who ran for 121 yards and two touchdowns in the contest, averaging 5.5 yards per carry. Braden Edwards added 88 yards on the ground, averaging 12.6 yards per carry.

Grand Junction’s rushing attack was lead by Carson Loveridge who ran for 144 yards and three touchdowns in the game, averaging 5.8 yards per carry.

Looking ahead to their next games, Grand Junction will stay home and play Dakota Ridge, while Golden will travel to play Chatfield.
