Expect to see autumnal leaves carried by a crisp breeze Monday afternoon as fall weather kicks off a week that could bring snow showers by Wednesday night.

Monday should be mostly sunny with some afternoon and evening gusts and a high of 52 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.

Winds could gust as high as 30 miles per hour, according to local meteorologists at NWS.

While Tuesday is expected to be about 10 degrees warmer and sunny, Wednesday night is likely to bring snow that stretches into Thursday.

A winter weather advisory continues for Colorado’s northern mountains as light snow is predicted to fall through Monday night with gusty winds and blowing snow creating an estimated three to seven inches of snowfall by the evening, the weather service said.

Mountain drivers should anticipate icy, snow-packed roads across mountain passes with strong winds.

Wednesday’s Front Range storm will likely bring more winter weather conditions to the mountains, as well.
