Grandview couldn’t quite keep up with a potent Cherry Creek squad, losing by a score of 44-21 on Friday at Stutler Bowl, Football Field.

Julian Hammond iii powered Cherry Creek’s passing attack with 231 yards through the air, throwing one touchdown with no interceptions. Dante Orlando lead all Cherry Creek receivers with two receptions for 68 yards. Gunnar Helm got involved in the passing game as well, snagging five passes for 53 yards and one touchdown. Cherry Creek also got 52 yards receiving from James Walker II in the contest.

Cherry Creek’s ground attack was paced by Jayle Stacks who tallied 146 yards and three touchdowns in the game, averaging 14.6 yards per carry.
