Interstate 70 was closed in both directions east of Denver to Kansas because of adverse weather conditions Saturday, the Colorado Department of Transportation announced Saturday afternoon.
At 2:30 a.m. Sunday, CDOT reopened the highway. The closure, expanded around 6 p.m., was in place between the Airpark Road exit near Aurora and Rose Avenue near Burlington.
I-70 EB/WB: Road open between Exit 437 – US 385; Lincoln Street and the Kansas Border. Highway is now open following safety closure.
