Aurora Central was a force in the post, grabbing 60.9 of all rebounds and blocking four shot attempts in their 58-44 victory over Prairie View on Thursday.
Arkeveis Smith lead Aurora Central with 12 points scored while also collecting two rebounds and two assists. Laquan Bowie recorded a double-double, scoring 11 points and collecting 13 rebounds.
Prairie View was lead in scoring by Dominic Marrujo who accounted for 17 points, while also recording two rebounds and two assists. Xavier Torres aided the effort by contributing 13 points and three rebounds.
Next up for each team, Prairie View will stay home and play Pomona, while Aurora Central will travel to play Vista PEAK Prep.
