The Liberty Lancers narrowly lost to Palmer in a 54-50 showdown on Thursday.
Matt Sims lead Palmer with 15 points scored while also recording two rebounds and two assists. Dominant Valverde-Priester recorded a double-double, scoring 14 points and collecting 10 rebounds.
Liberty was lead in scoring by Jordon McKay who accounted for 22 points while grabbing seven rebounds. Josiah Sewell helped the effort by contributing 10 points and five rebounds.
Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Palmer hosting Doherty and Liberty taking on Coronado.
