One of the trends thatap already visible in an unusually active new-year market is that Colorado buyers are looking for more out of their new home purchase than a house and yard. You can already see the first Spree Living Villages by Brookfield taking shape at Brighton Crossings, east of South 50th Avenue at Cherry Blossom in Brighton, and at Barefoot Lakes in Firestone.
“We see Spree Living as an opportunity to deliver something new, fresh and timely for Colorado buyers,” says Rick Dengler, Colorado Division president of Brookfield Residential.
“Spree Living Villages are designed for busy couples, for single moms and dads, for young professionals and traveling baby boomers,” Dengler adds. “They’re all seeking to make the most of their free time.”
To maximize the time element, at both locations you’ll already explore homes designed for low maintenance — ones that get front-yard landscaping provided and maintained as part of their monthly homeowner dues. Meanwhile, you’ll see Spree Living-inspired parks and lifestyle centers taking shape that will be centerpieces specifically for Spree Village residents, served by a full-time activities director working to make neighbors feel linked in.
“We’re designing each village around a lifestyle center and community-connecting amenities,” says Dave Carro, senior project manager.
When you visit Brookfield’s Ovation and Villa Portfolios at Brighton Crossings, you’ll see where a pickleball court is coming, along with a community garden and the SpreeHouse lifestyle center. At Barefoot Lakes, you’ll visit the site for a LakeHouse lifestyle center that will overlook the community’s signature lakes, to a panorama of the Rocky Mountains beyond.
Both of those master-planned communities already show an impressive array of recreational amenities apart from what Brookfield will provide, but Spree Living Villages will deliver features just for Spree Village residents.
“Homebuyers today are in search of a smart financial investment and worthwhile investments of their time,” says Paul Cardenas, who will be lifestyle manager for villages in Brighton Crossings and Barefoot Lakes.
Brookfield already knows that those residents will represent a range of ages and family situations — not just downsizers, but younger buyers wanting that same lifestyle.
“Our residents may be diverse in age, but they share a variety of interests that bring our communities together,” Cardenas adds.
To reach Brighton Crossings, take the Bromley Lane exit from I-76 and head west a block to the frontage road; angle north a block to S. 50th Avenue; then head north 1.5 mile to Cherry Blossom and turn right. For Barefoot Lakes, from I-25, take Firestone Blvd east a block to the frontage road, and head north 1.5 mile to Barefoot Lakes Pkwy.
