The Springfield Longhorns easily handled the McClave Cardinals by a score of 57-37 on Saturday, Jan. 25.
Julia Mondragon lead Springfield with 20 points scored while also collecting seven rebounds and one assist. Payton Arbuthnot had a solid night, scoring 14 points.
McClave was paced in scoring by Tehya Dickerson who put up 11 points while grabbing five rebounds. Maggie Chase had a notable night, recording eight points, four rebounds and five assists.
Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Springfield heading to play La Veta and McClave taking on South Baca [Campo/Vilas/Pritchett].
