The Cheraw Wolverines narrowly lost to the Manzanola Bobcats in a 56-54 showdown on Tuesday, Jan. 28.
Axel Escareno lead Manzanola with 26 points scored while also collecting seven rebounds and four assists. Blake Williams recorded a double-double, scoring 10 points and collecting 12 rebounds.
Cheraw was paced in scoring by Gabe Montoya who put up 16 points, while also collecting six rebounds and four assists. Trey Pearce helped by chipping in 10 points, four rebounds, and two assists.
Looking ahead to their next games, Manzanola will stay home and play Moffat, while Cheraw will travel to play Cheyenne Wells.
