
The Cherry Creek Bruins earned a win when they defeated the Smoky Hill Buffaloes 76-65 on Wednesday, Jan. 29.
Cherry Creek was lead in scoring by Myles Purchase who put up 20 points while also collecting five rebounds and seven assists. Julian Hammond iii recorded a double-double, scoring 20 points and collecting 10 rebounds.
Smoky Hill was paced in scoring by Jordan Whitaker who put up 15 points, while also collecting four rebounds and one assist. DeAngelo Horn helped the effort by contributing 14 points and six rebounds.
Next up for each team, Cherry Creek will stay home and play Cherokee Trail, while Smoky Hill will travel to play Grandview.
