The Cherry Creek Bruins beat the Cherokee Trail Cougars by a score of 69-52 on Saturday, Feb. 1.
Cali Clark lead Cherry Creek with 24 points scored while also collecting 10 rebounds and two assists. Carly Thompson had a solid night, recording 10 points, three rebounds and one assist.
Cherokee Trail was paced in scoring by Dominique Rodriguez who accounted for 16 points, while also collecting four rebounds and one assist. Makayla Hemingway aided the effort by chipping in 16 points, nine rebounds, and two assists.
Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Cherry Creek heading to play Overland and Cherokee Trail taking on Smoky Hill.
