The Sangre de Cristo Thunderbirds easily defeated the La Veta Redskins by a score of 69-33 on Friday, Jan. 31.
Cole Christensen lead Sangre de Cristo with 26 points scored while also collecting four rebounds and nine assists. Kevin Enriquez and Leighton Curtis also had productive outings contributing 15 points and 12 points, respectively.
La Veta was paced in scoring by Carson Miller who put up 28 points while collecting one rebounds. Ian Vallejos helped the effort by contributing three points and two rebounds.
Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Sangre de Cristo heading to play Swink and La Veta taking on Creede.
