It does look kind of funny, sitting out in the field that way, doesn’t it?
But it turns out that the little bathroom is not in the middle of nowhere; itap at the southeastern edge of , the city’s largest open-space property.
Marilyn Hilgenberg, the city of Loveland’s open lands and trail manager, said the city is getting ready to open a portion of that 785-acre natural area to the public this spring.
You can’t really tell because the area is covered with snow right now, but crews have scraped out a place for a 37-space parking lot with two handicapped-accessible spots and have been working on more than 3 miles of soft-surface trail that will connect the natural area with other trail systems.
