DSST: Byers easily defeated Dolores Huerta Prep by a score of 79-44 on Saturday.
DSST: Byers was lead in scoring by Kyrie Thomas who scored 30 points while also recording two rebounds and five assists. Elijah Thatch and Benjamin Mercado also had notable games contributing 22 points and nine points, respectively.
Dolores Huerta Prep was paced in scoring by Isaiah Trujillo who put up 13 points. DJ Olguin had a good night, scoring eight points.
Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with DSST: Byers heading to play William Smith and Dolores Huerta Prep taking on Pueblo Centennial.
