St. Mary’s defeated the La Junta Tigers by a score of 89-72 on Tuesday.
Sam Howery lead St. Mary’s with 28 points scored while also collecting nine rebounds and 13 assists. Luke Stockelman had a respectable night, recording 26 points, six rebounds and five assists.
La Junta was paced in scoring by Chance Oquist who accounted for 31 points while grabbing 12 rebounds. Thomas Garcia had a solid night, recording 18 points, six rebounds and six assists.
St. Mary’s will stay home and play Buena Vista, while La Junta will travel to play Lamar.
