Shining Mountain wastes Matarrese’s double-double in 49-45 loss to Flatirons Academy

Shining Mountain narrowly lost to the Flatirons Academy Bison in a 49-45 contest on Tuesday.

Bryn Durrill lead Flatirons Academy with 22 points scored while also collecting five rebounds and three assists. Kenlee Durrill had a respectable night, recording 12 points, eight rebounds and two assists.

Shining Mountain was paced in scoring by Kalea Zeender who accounted for 12 points, while also collecting five rebounds and one assist. Sophia Matarrese recorded a double-double, scoring 10 points and collecting 12 rebounds.

Looking ahead to their next games, Flatirons Academy will stay home and play Dawson School, while Shining Mountain will travel to play Front Range Baptist.
