Interstate 225 has been reopened following a hit-and-run fatal crash early Monday morning in Aurora, authorities said.
The driver of the vehicle that was struck was hospitalized with undetermined injuries following the two-vehicle crash near Yosemite Street at 2:06 a.m., said Master Trooper Gary Cutler of the Colorado State Patrol.
A passenger in the victim’s car was killed in the crash, Cutler said. One person was ejected from a vehicle that rolled but it has not been confirmed whether that person is the one who died, he said.

Authorities believe they know the identity of the woman who caused the crash and then fled on foot but she has not been found, Cutler said.
Southbound I-225 has been reopened, according to a Colorado Department of Transportation tweet.
The cause of the crash is under investigation, Cutler said.
