A fast offensive start and a strong outing from German Marquez carried the Rockies to a 7-5 win over the Brewers Saturday at Coors Field.

Colorado scored all seven runs in the first four innings, starting off with a two-run homer from Nolan Arenado in the first that drove in Charlie Blackmon for a quick 2-0 lead.

Marquez (4-1) pitched six innings, allowing seven hits and three earned runs while striking out eight. In fact, Milwaukee’s first seven outs were all strikeouts.

The win improved Colorado’s record to 19-7. The Rockies now have a 5.5-game lead over the Dodgers (14-13) and Diamondbacks (14-13) for the lead in the National League West.
