Coloradans can expect to see thunderstorms on Saturday that bring large hail and damaging winds as they roll through the state, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
The storms have the potential to bring winds that reach 60 to 80 miles per hour — and even a weak tornado. The storms are expected to arrive in the mountains by early afternoon before moving to the plains,
Scattered rain showers will be moving across the Front Range & adjacent I-25 Corridor through late morning. Only light rain, but strong, gusty winds up to 45 mph developing. More numerous showers and thunderstorms with damaging winds possible this afternoon!

Despite the chance for storms, conditions are mostly expected to be hot, dry and windy. Much of eastern Colorado is under either elevated or critical fire conditions.
