A woman was shot in Aurora on Monday night, police said.
Officers responded at about 7:10 p.m. to the shooting in a parking lot near South Parker Road and East Dartmouth Avenue and found the victim who was bleeding from head, police said.
Officers were called to a shooting near S Parker Rd and Dartmouth Ave.
Once there, they found an adult female bleeding from the head. She was transported to the hospital, unknown condition at this time.

She was taken to a local hospital and police said the victim is expected to survive. An investigation is ongoing and officers are working on identifying a suspect. Police said there is no ongoing threat to the community related to the incident.
